Ingredients

  • 1 lb Salmon fillet, skinless
  • 8 oz Cream cheese, softened
  • 1 tbsp Orange zest
  • 2 tbsp Fresh dill, chopped
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 0.5 tsp Ground black pepper
  • 1 cup Spinach leaves, fresh
  • 2 tbsp Olive oil
  • 1 sheet Parchment paper or plastic wrap

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

Step 2

Place the salmon fillet on a clean work surface and slice it horizontally into a thin, even sheet. If the fillet is thick, you may need to butterfly it carefully with a sharp knife to create an even layer.

Step 3

In a bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, orange zest, chopped dill, salt, and ground black pepper. Mix until smooth and evenly combined.

Step 4

Lay out a sheet of parchment paper or plastic wrap on your work surface. Spread the salmon evenly on top.

Step 5

Gently spread the orange cream cheese mixture over the salmon in a thin layer, covering the entire surface.

Step 6

Layer the fresh spinach leaves evenly on top of the cream cheese mixture.

Step 7

Using the parchment paper or plastic wrap to help, carefully roll the salmon into a tight log, starting from one of the short edges. Wrap the roll securely in the parchment paper or plastic wrap and refrigerate for 10 minutes to firm up.

Step 8

Remove the salmon roll from the refrigerator and cut into 1-inch thick slices to create pinwheels.

Step 9

Arrange the pinwheels on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Drizzle the tops lightly with olive oil.

Step 10

Bake in the preheated oven for 12–15 minutes, or until the salmon is cooked through and the edges are slightly golden.

Step 11

Allow to cool for a few minutes before serving. Garnish with additional fresh dill if desired.
