Ingredients

  • 4 pieces Salmon fillets
  • 0.5 cup Orange juice (freshly squeezed)
  • 2 tablespoons Lime juice (freshly squeezed)
  • 3 tablespoons Olive oil
  • 3 cloves Garlic (minced)
  • 1 tablespoon Honey
  • 1 tablespoon Soy sauce
  • 0.5 teaspoon Ground black pepper
  • 0.5 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Orange zest
  • 1 teaspoon Lime zest
  • 2 tablespoons Fresh cilantro (chopped, optional for garnish)

Directions

Step 1

In a mixing bowl, whisk together the orange juice, lime juice, olive oil, minced garlic, honey, soy sauce, black pepper, salt, orange zest, and lime zest to create the marinade.

Step 2

Place the salmon fillets in a resealable plastic bag or a shallow dish. Pour the marinade over the salmon, making sure to coat all sides evenly.

Step 3

Seal the bag or cover the dish, and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes or up to 2 hours for deeper flavor.

Step 4

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) or preheat a grill to medium heat, depending on your preferred cooking method.

Step 5

If baking, line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it with olive oil. Place the marinated salmon fillets on the prepared baking sheet. Reserve any remaining marinade.

Step 6

Bake the salmon in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the salmon flakes easily with a fork and reaches an internal temperature of 145°F (63°C). Baste the salmon with the reserved marinade once halfway through cooking.

Step 7

If grilling, oil the grill grates lightly to prevent sticking. Place the marinated salmon fillets directly on the grill and cook for 4-6 minutes per side, or until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily.

Step 8

Transfer the cooked salmon onto a serving plate. Optionally, garnish with chopped fresh cilantro for a burst of freshness.

Step 9

Serve immediately with a side of steamed vegetables, rice, or a crisp salad. Enjoy!
