Ingredients

  • 4 pieces black tea bags
  • 10 pieces fresh mint leaves
  • 5 cups boiling water
  • 1 large lemon
  • 3 tablespoons honey
  • 2 cups ice cubes
  • 3 pieces lemon slices (for garnish)
  • 3 pieces mint sprigs (for garnish)

Directions

Step 1

Bring 5 cups of water to a boil in a medium saucepan or kettle.

Step 2

Place the black tea bags and fresh mint leaves in a large heatproof pitcher.

Step 3

Pour the boiling water over the tea bags and mint. Let steep for 5 minutes.

Step 4

While the tea is steeping, juice the lemon into a small bowl, removing any seeds. Set the juice aside.

Remove the tea bags and mint leaves from the pitcher and discard them.
