Ingredients

  • 10 oz Frozen chopped spinach
  • 1 cup Sour cream
  • 1 cup Mayonnaise
  • 1 packet Knorr vegetable recipe mix
  • 1 cup Canned water chestnuts, finely chopped
  • 3 stalks Green onions, finely chopped
  • 1 loaf Optional: Loaf of sourdough bread

Directions

Step 1

Thaw the frozen spinach according to the package instructions. Once thawed, squeeze out as much excess water as possible using a clean kitchen towel or paper towels.

Step 2

In a large mixing bowl, combine the sour cream, mayonnaise, and the Knorr vegetable recipe mix. Mix thoroughly until the blend is smooth.

Step 3

Fold in the drained spinach, finely chopped water chestnuts, and green onions. Stir until all ingredients are evenly incorporated.

Step 4

Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate the dip for at least 2 hours to allow the flavors to meld together.

Step 5

If serving in a bread bowl, carefully cut a circular lid off the top of the sourdough loaf and hollow out the center, leaving about a 1-inch thick shell. Reserve the cut-out bread for dipping.

Step 6

Fill the hollowed bread bowl with the chilled spinach dip. Alternatively, serve the dip in a bowl surrounded by fresh vegetables, crackers, or pieces of bread for dipping.

Step 7

Serve chilled and enjoy!
