Ingredients

  • 1 pound Ground beef
  • 0.5 pound Ground pork
  • 0.75 cup Breadcrumbs
  • 0.25 cup Milk
  • 1 large Egg
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon Black pepper
  • 0.5 teaspoon Garlic powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon Onion powder
  • 1 cup Chili sauce
  • 0.5 cup Grape jelly
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tablespoons Olive oil (for frying)

Directions

Step 1

In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, ground pork, breadcrumbs, milk, egg, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Mix well until evenly combined but do not overwork the mixture.

Step 2

Form the mixture into 1-inch round meatballs and set aside on a plate. You should end up with approximately 20-24 meatballs.

Step 3

In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the meatballs in batches, taking care not to overcrowd the skillet, and cook until browned on all sides, about 5-7 minutes per batch. Remove the browned meatballs and set them aside on a plate lined with paper towels.

Step 4

Once all the meatballs are browned, reduce the skillet heat to low. Add the chili sauce, grape jelly, and Worcestershire sauce to the skillet, stirring frequently until the sauce is smooth and well combined.

Step 5

Return the meatballs to the skillet, gently coating them with the sauce. Cover and simmer on low heat for 15 minutes, stirring occasionally to ensure the meatballs are fully covered in the sauce and cooked through.

Step 6

Serve warm as an appetizer with toothpicks or over rice or noodles as a main dish. Enjoy!
