Ingredients

  • 2 cups graham cracker crumbs
  • 0.5 cups unsalted butter, melted
  • 0.25 cups granulated sugar
  • 1.5 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1.5 cups mini marshmallows
  • 0.75 cups chopped walnuts (optional)
  • 1 can (14 ounces) sweetened condensed milk
  • 0.5 cups mini pretzels (optional, for garnish)

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a 9x13-inch baking dish with parchment paper, leaving some overhang for easy removal later.

Step 2

In a medium mixing bowl, combine the graham cracker crumbs, melted butter, and granulated sugar. Mix until the texture resembles wet sand.

Step 3

Press the graham cracker mixture evenly into the bottom of the prepared baking dish to form the crust. Use the back of a spoon or a flat-bottomed glass to pack it down firmly.

Step 4

Bake the crust in the preheated oven for 8 to 10 minutes, or until lightly golden. Remove from the oven and let cool slightly while preparing the topping.

Step 5

Sprinkle an even layer of semi-sweet chocolate chips over the baked crust, followed by the mini marshmallows and chopped walnuts (if using).

Step 6

Pour the can of sweetened condensed milk evenly over the top of the layered ingredients, ensuring it reaches the edges of the pan.

Step 7

Bake in the oven for 15 minutes, or until the marshmallows are golden brown and the edges are bubbling.

Step 8

Remove from the oven and let cool completely in the baking dish. To speed up the cooling process, you can refrigerate the bars for about 1 hour.

Step 9

Once fully cooled, lift the bars out of the baking dish using the parchment paper overhang. Slice into 12 squares or desired serving sizes.

Step 10

Optional: Garnish each bar with a mini pretzel for an extra crunchy-salty element before serving.

Step 11

Store any leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days or in the refrigerator for up to a week.
