Ingredients

  • 1 pound Italian sausage
  • 1 medium Onion, diced

  • 2 cups Chicken broth

  • 0.5 teaspoon Red pepper flakes
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon Black pepper
  • 16 ounces Pasta (penne or rotini)
  • 0.5 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
  • 2 tablespoons Fresh basil, chopped

Directions

Step 1

In a skillet over medium heat, brown the Italian sausage until fully cooked. Break it into small pieces as it cooks. Drain excess grease and set aside.

Step 2

In the same skillet, sauté the diced onion until it becomes translucent, about 3-4 minutes. Add the minced garlic and cook for an additional 30 seconds until fragrant.
