Ingredients

  • 1 pound Ground Wagyu beef
  • 0.5 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.25 teaspoon Freshly ground black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons Olive oil
  • 4 slices Aged cheddar cheese slices
  • 4 pieces Brioche buns
  • 0.5 cup Truffle aioli
  • 1 cup Caramelized onions
  • 1 cup Arugula
  • 4 slices Heirloom tomato slices
  • 2 tablespoons Butter

Directions

Step 1

Preheat a grill or stovetop griddle to medium-high heat.

Step 2

In a large mixing bowl, gently mix the ground Wagyu beef with salt and freshly ground black pepper. Do not overwork the meat.

Step 3

Divide the beef mixture into 4 equal portions and shape each into a patty about 1 inch thick. Press a slight indentation in the center of each patty to prevent it from puffing up during cooking.

Brush the grill or griddle with 2 tablespoons of olive oil to prevent sticking.
