Ingredients

  • 1 cup Whole milk
  • 2 tablespoons Unsalted butter
  • 1 large Egg
  • 3 cups All-purpose flour
  • 3 tablespoons Granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 2.25 teaspoons Instant yeast
  • 2 tablespoons Melted butter (for brushing)

Directions

Step 1

Warm the milk until lukewarm (not hot, about 110°F). Add the butter to the milk and stir until melted.

Step 2

Add the milk and butter mixture to the bread machine pan. Crack the egg into the pan.

Step 3

Carefully add the flour on top of the liquids, ensuring it fully covers the wet ingredients.

Step 4

Sprinkle the sugar, salt, and yeast over the flour. Be careful not to let the salt directly touch the yeast.

Step 5

Select the dough cycle on your bread machine and start the machine. The machine will mix and knead the dough, then allow it to rise.

Step 6

Check the dough about 5 minutes after the cycle starts. If it’s too sticky, add 1 tablespoon of flour at a time. If it’s dry, add 1 teaspoon of water at a time until it forms a soft dough ball.

Step 7

When the dough cycle is complete, transfer the dough onto a lightly floured surface.

Step 8

Divide the dough into 12 equal pieces and roll each piece into a ball.

Step 9

Place the dough balls into a greased 9 x 13-inch baking dish or onto a parchment-lined baking sheet.

Step 10

Cover the rolls with a clean kitchen towel and let them rise in a warm place for about 30-45 minutes, or until doubled in size.

Step 11

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) during the final rise.

Step 12

Brush the tops of the risen rolls with melted butter.

Step 13

Bake the rolls for 12-15 minutes, or until golden brown on top.

Step 14

Remove the rolls from the oven and brush them with more melted butter for a glossy, buttery finish.

Step 15

Allow the rolls to cool slightly before serving. Enjoy warm!
