Ingredients

  • 2 lbs Ground beef (80% lean)
  • 1 large Yellow onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 1 cup Breadcrumbs
  • 0.5 cup Milk
  • 2 large Eggs, beaten
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tbsp Ketchup (for meat mixture)
  • 1.5 tsp Salt
  • 1 tsp Black pepper
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 0.5 cup Ketchup (for glaze)
  • 2 tbsp Brown sugar
  • 1 tsp Apple cider vinegar

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and lightly grease a loaf pan or line it with parchment paper.

Step 2

In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, finely chopped onion, minced garlic, breadcrumbs, milk, beaten eggs, Worcestershire sauce, ketchup, salt, black pepper, and Italian seasoning.

Step 3

Using clean hands or a large spoon, mix the ingredients until evenly combined. Be careful not to overmix, as this can make the meatloaf dense.

Step 4

Transfer the meat mixture into the prepared loaf pan and gently press it down to form a loaf shape.

Step 5

In a small bowl, prepare the glaze by stirring together the ketchup, brown sugar, and apple cider vinegar. Spread the glaze evenly over the top of the meatloaf.

Step 6

Place the loaf pan in the oven and bake for 60 minutes, or until the internal temperature of the meatloaf reaches 160°F (71°C).

Step 7

Once done, remove the meatloaf from the oven and let it rest for 10 minutes before slicing. This allows the juices to redistribute, ensuring a moist and tender meatloaf.

Step 8

Slice and serve warm with your favorite sides, such as mashed potatoes, green beans, or a fresh garden salad.
