Ingredients

  • 20 pieces Jumbo pasta shells
  • 16 ounces Ricotta cheese
  • 2 cups Mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 1 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
  • 10 ounces Frozen spinach, thawed and drained
  • 1 large Egg
  • 2 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon Dried basil
  • 24 ounces Marinara sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Olive oil
  • 0.5 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.25 teaspoon Black pepper

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

Step 2

Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook the jumbo pasta shells until al dente according to the package instructions. Drain and set aside to cool slightly.

Step 3

In a large mixing bowl, combine the ricotta cheese, 1 cup of shredded mozzarella cheese, Parmesan cheese, thawed and drained spinach, egg, minced garlic, dried basil, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well incorporated.

Step 4

Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish with the olive oil. Spread 1 cup of marinara sauce evenly across the bottom of the dish.

Step 5

Stuff each cooked pasta shell with approximately 2 tablespoons of the ricotta-spinach mixture and arrange them seam-side up in the baking dish.

Step 6

Once all the stuffed shells are arranged in the dish, pour the remaining marinara sauce evenly over the shells.

Step 7

Sprinkle the remaining 1 cup of shredded mozzarella cheese on top of the marinara sauce.

Step 8

Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake in the preheated oven for 25 minutes.

Step 9

Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.

Step 10

Let the dish cool for 5 minutes before serving. Serve hot and enjoy!
