Ingredients

  • 400 grams firm tofu
  • 4 cups mixed salad greens
  • 200 grams cherry tomatoes
  • 1 piece cucumber
  • 1 piece carrot
  • 1 piece red bell pepper
  • 2 tablespoons sesame oil
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon honey
  • 0.5 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon ginger powder
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds
  • 2 stalks green onions
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon pepper

Directions

Step 1

Start by pressing the tofu to remove excess moisture. Wrap the tofu block in a clean kitchen towel and place a heavy object on top for about 10 minutes.

Step 2

Meanwhile, wash and prepare the vegetables. Halve the cherry tomatoes, slice the cucumber thinly, julienne the carrot, and slice the red bell pepper into thin strips. Chop the green onions and set aside.

Step 3

Once the tofu is pressed, cut it into 1-inch cubes.

Step 4

Heat the olive oil in a non-stick pan over medium heat. Add the tofu cubes, sprinkle with salt and pepper, and fry them until they are golden and crispy on all sides, approximately 8 to 10 minutes.

Step 5

In a small bowl, whisk together the sesame oil, soy sauce, rice vinegar, honey, garlic powder, and ginger powder to create the dressing.

Step 6

In a large bowl, combine the salad greens, cherry tomatoes, cucumber slices, julienned carrot, and red bell pepper strips.

Step 7

Add the crispy tofu on top of the salad, drizzle over the dressing, and gently toss to combine.

Step 8

Sprinkle sesame seeds and chopped green onions on top for garnish.

Step 9

Serve immediately as a refreshing and nutritious salad.
