Ingredients

  • 6 cups Reese's Puffs cereal
  • 10 ounces mini marshmallows
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 1 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 teaspoon vegetable oil (optional, for chocolate drizzle)

Directions

Step 1

Line a 9x13-inch baking dish with parchment paper or lightly grease it with non-stick cooking spray. Set aside.

Step 2

In a large pot, melt the butter over medium heat. Once melted, reduce the heat to low and stir in the mini marshmallows, stirring continuously until completely melted and smooth.

Step 3

Remove the pot from heat and quickly mix in the creamy peanut butter until fully combined with the melted marshmallows.

Step 4

Add the Reese's Puffs cereal to the pot and gently fold the mixture until the cereal is evenly coated.

Step 5

Transfer the mixture to the prepared baking dish. Use a spatula or your lightly greased hands to press the mixture evenly into the pan, making sure it's compact and level.

Step 6

In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the semi-sweet chocolate chips in 20-30 second intervals, stirring after each interval, until smooth. If the chocolate is too thick, stir in a teaspoon of vegetable oil to thin it slightly.

Step 7

Drizzle the melted chocolate over the cereal bars in a zig-zag pattern or spread it over the top in an even layer, depending on your preference.

Step 8

Allow the bars to cool and set at room temperature for about 1 hour, or speed up the process by refrigerating them for 20-30 minutes.

Step 9

Once set, remove the bars from the pan using the parchment paper overhang or loosen the edges with a knife. Cut into 12 squares or bars and serve.

Step 10

Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days or in the refrigerator for up to a week.
