Ingredients

  • 1.5 cups All-purpose flour
  • 0.5 teaspoons Baking soda
  • 0.25 teaspoons Salt
  • 0.75 cups Brown sugar (packed)
  • 0.5 cups Granulated sugar
  • 0.5 cups Semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 cups Mini Reese's Peanut Butter Cups (halved)
  • 0.5 cups Oats (quick-cooking or old-fashioned)

Directions

Step 1

1. In a clean 1-quart jar, start layering the ingredients in the following order: mix the flour, baking soda, and salt together, then pour it into the jar for the first layer.

Step 2

2. Add the brown sugar as the second layer, pressing it down gently to make an even layer. Follow with the granulated sugar for the third layer.

Step 3

3. Add the oats as the fourth layer, then the chocolate chips, and finally the halved Reese's Peanut Butter Cups as the last layer. Seal the jar tightly.

Step 4

4. To make cookies, preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). In a mixing bowl, empty the contents of the jar and mix well.

Step 5

5. Add 1/2 cup (1 stick) of softened unsalted butter, 1 large egg, and 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract. Mix until a dough forms.

Step 6

6. Scoop tablespoon-sized portions of dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, spacing them about 2 inches apart.

Step 7

7. Bake for 8-10 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown. Let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

Step 8

8. Store the cookies in an airtight container for up to 5 days and enjoy!
