  • 2 tablespoons cocoa powder
  • 0.25 teaspoon salt
  • 226 grams cream cheese
  • 50 grams granulated sugar (for cheesecake layer)
  • 0.5 teaspoon vanilla extract (for cheesecake layer)
  • 1 large egg (for cheesecake layer)

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 175°C (350°F) and line an 8x8 inch (20x20 cm) baking pan with parchment paper, leaving an overhang for easy removal.

Step 2

Melt the butter and semi-sweet chocolate together in a heatproof bowl set over a pot of simmering water, or microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring in between, until smooth. Let cool slightly.

In a medium mixing bowl, whisk together the granulated sugar, 2 eggs, vanilla extract, and red food coloring until well combined.

Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs. Be careful not to overbake.
