Ingredients

  • 4 pieces Pork cube steak
  • 1 medium Red onion
  • 6 stalks Green onion
  • 1 medium White onion
  • 2 tablespoons Olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons Unsalted butter
  • 3 cloves Garlic
  • 2 tablespoons All-purpose flour
  • 1.5 cups Chicken broth
  • 0.5 cups Heavy cream
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon Black pepper
  • 0.5 teaspoon Paprika
  • 2 tablespoons Fresh parsley

Directions

Step 1

Thinly slice the red onion, white onion, and green onions. Mince the garlic and set aside.

Step 2

Season the pork cube steaks on both sides with salt, black pepper, and paprika.

Step 3

Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil and 1 tablespoon of butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat.

Step 4

Add the pork cube steaks to the skillet and cook for 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown. Remove from the skillet and set aside.

Step 5

In the same skillet, add the remaining olive oil and butter. Lower the heat to medium and add the sliced onions. Sauté for 5-7 minutes until softened and translucent.

Step 6

Stir in the minced garlic and cook for 1 minute until fragrant.

Step 7

Sprinkle the flour over the onions and stir well to coat. Cook for 1-2 minutes to remove the raw flour taste.

Step 8

Gradually whisk in the chicken broth, scraping the bottom of the skillet to deglaze it. Bring the mixture to a simmer.

Step 9

Reduce the heat to low and stir in the heavy cream. Let the sauce thicken for about 3-4 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Step 10

Return the pork cube steaks to the skillet, nestling them into the sauce. Cover and simmer for 5-7 minutes, ensuring the steaks are cooked through.

Step 11

Taste the sauce and adjust seasoning with more salt or pepper if needed.

Step 12

Garnish with fresh parsley and serve hot. Pair with mashed potatoes, rice, or steamed vegetables for a complete meal.
