Ingredients

  • 8 pieces Dried red chilies
  • 2 tablespoons Olive oil
  • 4 cloves Garlic cloves
  • 2 tablespoons Tomato paste
  • 1.5 tablespoons Red wine vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon Sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon Smoked paprika
  • 0.5 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.25 cup Water
  • 1 tablespoon Fresh parsley

Directions

Step 1

Soak the dried red chilies in warm water for 15 minutes to soften. Remove seeds for a milder sauce (optional).

Step 2

Heat olive oil in a small skillet over medium heat.

Step 3

Add garlic cloves and sauté until golden and fragrant, about 2-3 minutes. Be careful not to burn them.

Transfer the garlic to a blender or food processor along with the softened red chilies.

Add the tomato paste, red wine vinegar, sugar, ground cumin, smoked paprika, salt, and water to the blender.
