Ingredients

  • 12 pieces Medium shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 cup Bay scallops
  • 1 cup Lump crab meat
  • 0.3333 cup Fresh lime juice
  • 1 cup Tomato juice
  • 2 teaspoons Hot sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 large Avocado, diced
  • 1 medium Roma tomato, diced
  • 0.25 cup Red onion, finely diced
  • 3 tablespoons Cilantro, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon Olive oil
  • 0.5 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.25 teaspoon Black pepper
  • 4 pieces Lime wedges
  • 4 pieces Margarita glasses (optional, for serving)

Directions

Step 1

Bring a medium pot of water to a boil. Add a pinch of salt. Blanch the shrimp and bay scallops for 2-3 minutes, or until just cooked through. Immediately transfer them to an ice bath to stop cooking. Drain and set aside.

Step 2

In a mixing bowl, combine the lime juice, tomato juice, hot sauce, Worcestershire sauce, olive oil, salt, and black pepper. Stir well to make the marinade.

Step 3

Add the cooked shrimp, bay scallops, and lump crab meat to the marinade. Stir gently to coat the seafood evenly.

Step 4

Fold in the diced avocado, tomato, red onion, and cilantro. Mix carefully to avoid smashing the avocado.

Step 5

Chill the mixture in the refrigerator for at least 15 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.

Step 6

To serve, rim the edges of margarita glasses with salt (optional) and pour the chilled seafood mixture into the glasses.

Step 7

Garnish each serving with a lime wedge and a sprinkle of freshly chopped cilantro. Serve immediately.
