Ingredients

  • 1 lb Ground beef (80/20 blend)
  • 0.5 cup Breadcrumbs
  • 0.25 cup Milk
  • 1 Egg
  • 0.5 cup Onion, finely diced
  • 2 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 0.25 cup Ketchup
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 0.5 tsp Black pepper
  • 1 tsp Dried Italian seasoning
  • 0.25 cup Ketchup (for glaze)
  • 2 tbsp Brown sugar (for glaze)
  • 1 tsp Yellow mustard (for glaze)

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

Step 2

In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, breadcrumbs, milk, egg, diced onion, minced garlic, Worcestershire sauce, ketchup, salt, black pepper, and Italian seasoning.

Step 3

Using clean hands or a large spoon, mix the ingredients until well combined. Be careful not to overmix, as this can make the meatloaf tough.

Step 4

Shape the mixture into a loaf and place it in the center of a lightly greased or parchment-lined baking dish or loaf pan.

Step 5

In a small bowl, whisk together the ketchup, brown sugar, and yellow mustard to make the glaze.

Step 6

Spread the glaze evenly over the top of the meatloaf.

Step 7

Bake the meatloaf in the preheated oven for 40-45 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C) when checked with a meat thermometer.

Step 8

Remove the meatloaf from the oven and let it rest for 5-10 minutes before slicing.

Step 9

Slice and serve warm. Pair with mashed potatoes, steamed vegetables, or your favorite side dishes for a comforting meal.
