Ingredients

  • 1 sheet puff pastry sheet
  • 300 grams cherry tomatoes
  • 10 leaves fresh basil leaves
  • 100 grams shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 50 grams grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon dijon mustard
  • 2 cloves garlic cloves (minced)
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon black pepper

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 200°C (400°F). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Step 2

Unroll the puff pastry sheet onto the prepared baking sheet. Use a knife to lightly score a 1-inch border around the edges without cutting all the way through.

Step 3

Prick the center of the puff pastry with a fork to prevent it from puffing up too much during baking.

Step 4

In a small bowl, mix the Dijon mustard and minced garlic. Spread the mixture evenly over the center of the puff pastry, avoiding the scored edges.

Step 5

Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese evenly over the mustard layer.

Step 6

Slice the cherry tomatoes in half and arrange them cut-side up over the cheese layer.

Step 7

Tear the fresh basil leaves into smaller pieces and scatter them over the tomatoes.

Step 8

Drizzle the olive oil over the tart and sprinkle with dried oregano, salt, and black pepper.

Step 9

Top with grated Parmesan cheese for extra flavor.

Step 10

Bake the tart in the preheated oven for 20 minutes or until the puff pastry is golden and crispy.

Step 11

Remove from the oven and let the tart cool for 5 minutes before slicing and serving.
