Ingredients

  • 1 lb beef sirloin, thinly sliced
  • 0.25 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp oyster sauce
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp ginger, minced
  • 1 red bell pepper, sliced
  • 2 cups broccoli florets
  • 1 carrot, thinly sliced
  • 1 cup snap peas
  • 2 green onions, sliced
  • 1 tsp sesame seeds (optional)
  • 2 cups cooked rice or noodles (for serving)

Directions

Step 1

In a medium bowl, combine soy sauce, oyster sauce, sesame oil, and cornstarch. Mix until smooth and set aside.

Step 2

Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the sliced beef and cook for 3-4 minutes, or until browned and cooked through. Remove the beef from the skillet and set aside.

Step 3

In the same skillet, add the remaining 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil. Add the minced garlic and ginger, cooking for about 30 seconds until fragrant.

Step 4

Add the red bell pepper, broccoli florets, carrot slices, and snap peas to the skillet. Stir-fry the vegetables for 4-5 minutes, until they are tender-crisp.

Step 5

Return the cooked beef to the skillet with the vegetables. Pour the prepared sauce over the mixture and stir to combine. Cook for another 2-3 minutes, allowing the sauce to thicken slightly.

Step 6

Remove from heat and garnish with sliced green onions and sesame seeds, if desired.

Step 7

Serve hot with cooked rice or noodles.
