Ingredients

  • 2 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp tahini (optional)
  • 1 tsp fresh rosemary or thyme leaves
  • 0.5 tsp salt
  • 0.25 tsp black pepper
  • 2 tbsp water (as needed)

Directions

Step 1

Drain and rinse the canned white beans thoroughly under cold running water to remove any excess sodium or canning liquid.

Step 2

Peel the garlic cloves and mash them slightly with the flat side of a knife to release their flavor.

Step 3

In a food processor or blender, combine the drained white beans, garlic cloves, olive oil, lemon juice, tahini (if using), rosemary or thyme leaves, salt, and black pepper.

Step 4

Blend the mixture on high until smooth and creamy, stopping to scrape down the sides of the processor as necessary.

Step 5

If the dip is too thick, add water one tablespoon at a time, blending after each addition, until the desired consistency is achieved.
