Ingredients

  • 500 grams Beef tenderloin tips
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons Cooking oil (vegetable or olive oil)
  • 1 medium White onion, chopped
  • 3 cloves Garlic cloves, minced
  • 4 Roma tomatoes, diced
  • 1 medium Green bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 medium Jalapeno pepper, finely chopped
  • 1 cup Beef or chicken broth
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 0.5 teaspoon Oregano
  • 0.5 teaspoon Cumin
  • 2 tablespoons Fresh cilantro, chopped

Directions

Step 1

Season the beef tenderloin tips with salt and black pepper. Set aside.

Step 2

Heat 2 tablespoons of cooking oil in a large skillet or frying pan over medium-high heat.

Step 3

Sear the beef tips in the hot oil until browned on all sides, about 3-4 minutes per side. Remove the beef from the pan and set aside.

Step 4

In the same skillet, add the chopped onion and sauté for 3-4 minutes until softened and translucent.

Step 5

Stir in the minced garlic and cook for another 1 minute, stirring frequently to prevent burning.

Step 6

Add the diced tomatoes, green bell pepper, and jalapeño pepper to the skillet. Cook for 5-7 minutes until the vegetables begin to soften.

Step 7

Pour in the broth, Worcestershire sauce, oregano, and cumin. Stir well to combine and bring the mixture to a gentle simmer.

Step 8

Return the beef tips to the skillet and stir to coat them in the sauce. Cover the skillet and let the dish simmer on low heat for 15-20 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld and the beef to become tender.

Step 9

Adjust seasoning with additional salt and pepper, if needed.

Step 10

Garnish with freshly chopped cilantro and serve hot. Pair with rice, beans, or warm tortillas for a complete meal.
