Ingredients

  • 200 grams plain flour
  • 100 grams brown sugar
  • 120 grams unsalted butter
  • 400 grams canned pumpkin puree
  • 2 large eggs
  • 150 grams granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 0.5 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 0.5 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 0.25 teaspoon ground cloves
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F). Line a 9x13 inch baking pan with parchment paper or lightly grease it.

Step 2

In a medium bowl, combine the plain flour and brown sugar.

Cut in the unsalted butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Press the mixture evenly into the prepared baking pan to form the base.
