Ingredients

  • 1 cup Pumpkin puree
  • 1.5 cups Heavy cream
  • 4 ounces Cream cheese, softened
  • 0.5 cup Powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoons Brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon Ground cinnamon
  • 0.5 teaspoon Ground ginger
  • 0.25 teaspoon Ground nutmeg
  • 0.125 teaspoon Salt

Directions

Step 1

In a large mixing bowl, beat the cream cheese until light and creamy using a hand mixer or stand mixer with the paddle attachment.

Step 2

Add the pumpkin puree, brown sugar, cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg, and salt to the cream cheese. Beat again until fully combined and smooth. Scrape down the sides of the bowl as needed.

Step 3

In a separate mixing bowl, whip the heavy cream and powdered sugar together using a hand mixer or stand mixer with the whisk attachment. Whip until stiff peaks form, being careful not to overmix.

Step 4

Gently fold the whipped cream into the pumpkin mixture a little at a time, using a rubber spatula. Continue folding until fully incorporated and the mousse is light and fluffy.

Step 5

Divide the mousse evenly into serving glasses or bowls. Smooth the tops with the back of a spoon if needed.

Step 6

Chill the mousse in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours to allow it to set and develop its flavors.

Step 7

Serve chilled. Optionally, garnish with a dollop of whipped cream, a sprinkle of cinnamon, or crushed cookies for added texture and decoration.
