  • 2 cups Barbecue sauce
  • 1 cup Chicken stock
  • 8 pieces Hamburger buns
  • 2 cups Coleslaw (optional, for topping)
  • 2 tablespoons Butter (optional, for toasting buns)

Directions

Step 1

In a small bowl, mix together salt, black pepper, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, and brown sugar to create a spice rub.

Pat the pork shoulder dry with paper towels, then rub the spice mixture all over the pork, making sure to coat it evenly.

Place the pork shoulder in a slow cooker. Pour the chicken stock around the pork but not directly on it, to avoid washing off the rub.
