Ingredients

  • 1 cup (tightly packed) Fresh mint leaves
  • 0.5 cup (tightly packed) Fresh coriander leaves (cilantro)
  • 2 pieces (adjust to taste) Green chilies
  • 2 pieces Garlic cloves
  • 1 inch piece Ginger
  • 2 tablespoons Lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon Roasted cumin powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon Chaat masala
  • 0.5 teaspoon (or to taste) Salt
  • 2 tablespoons (adjust for consistency) Water

Directions

Step 1

Wash the mint leaves and coriander leaves thoroughly under cold running water to remove any dirt or debris.

Step 2

Peel the garlic cloves and ginger, and roughly chop them for easier blending.

Step 3

In a blender or food processor, add the mint leaves, coriander leaves, green chilies, garlic, ginger, lemon juice, roasted cumin powder, chaat masala, and salt.

Step 4

Pour in 2 tablespoons of water to help with blending. Add more water if needed to achieve the desired consistency.

Blend all the ingredients to a smooth and vibrant green paste. Scrape down the sides of the blender jar as needed.
