  • 0.5 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice

Directions

Step 1

In a large soup pot, heat the butter and olive oil together over medium heat.

Step 2

Add the bacon and cook until crispy, about 5 minutes. Remove the bacon with a slotted spoon and set aside, leaving the rendered fat in the pot.

Step 3

Dice the onion, carrots, and celery. Sauté them in the pot for 5-7 minutes until softened.
