Ingredients

  • 4 slices sourdough bread
  • 4 slices prosciutto
  • 1 medium ripe nectarine
  • 4 oz fontina cheese
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 1 cup arugula
  • 2 tsp honey
  • 1 tsp olive oil
  • 0.25 tsp salt
  • 0.25 tsp black pepper

Directions

Step 1

Slice the nectarine thinly, removing the pit.

Step 2

Spread the butter evenly onto one side of each slice of sourdough bread.

Step 3

On the unbuttered side of two bread slices, layer the prosciutto, sliced nectarines, fontina cheese, and a small handful of arugula.

Step 4

Drizzle honey evenly over the arugula, and sprinkle with salt and black pepper.

Step 5

Top the layered ingredients with the remaining slices of bread, buttered side facing out.

Step 6

Heat a panini press or a large skillet over medium heat. If using a skillet, drizzle with olive oil before placing the sandwiches in the pan.
