Ingredients

  • 4 pieces Boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup Progresso Italian-style breadcrumbs
  • 0.5 cup Grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 large Eggs
  • 0.5 cup All-purpose flour
  • 4 tablespoons Olive oil
  • 1 cup Marinara sauce
  • 1 cup Mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 4 leaves Fresh basil leaves (optional, for garnish)

Directions

Step 1

Place chicken breasts between two sheets of plastic wrap and lightly pound them to an even thickness, about 1/2 inch thick.

Step 2

Set up a breading station with three shallow dishes: one with flour, one with beaten eggs, and one with a mixture of Progresso breadcrumbs and Parmesan cheese.

Step 3

Dredge each chicken breast in the flour, shaking off the excess. Dip it in the egg, then coat it in the breadcrumb and Parmesan mixture. Set aside on a plate.
