Ingredients

  • 150 grams Honey
  • 100 grams Unsalted butter
  • 100 grams Granulated sugar
  • 2 large Eggs
  • 400 grams All-purpose flour
  • 1.5 teaspoons Baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon Ground cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon Ground ginger
  • 2 tablespoons Milk
  • 100 grams Powdered sugar (for glaze)
  • 2 tablespoons Water (for glaze)

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Step 2

In a saucepan over low heat, melt the honey and unsalted butter together, stirring until smooth. Remove from heat and allow to cool slightly.

Step 3

In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the granulated sugar and eggs until light and fluffy.

Step 4

Slowly pour the cooled honey-butter mixture into the egg mixture, whisking continuously to combine.

Step 5

In a separate bowl, sift together the all-purpose flour, baking powder, ground cinnamon, and ground ginger.
