Ingredients

  • 500 grams Prawns (peeled and deveined)
  • 1 cup Cilantro (fresh, chopped)
  • 0.5 cup Mint leaves (fresh, chopped)
  • 3 pieces Green chilies
  • 4 pieces Garlic cloves
  • 1 tablespoon Ginger (grated)
  • 3 tablespoons Yogurt (plain)
  • 1 tablespoon Lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon Cumin seeds
  • 1 teaspoon Coriander powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon Turmeric powder
  • 2 tablespoons Vegetable oil
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.25 cup Water

Directions

Step 1

Wash the prawns thoroughly, pat them dry, and set aside.

Step 2

In a blender, combine cilantro, mint leaves, green chilies, garlic, ginger, yogurt, and lemon juice. Blend until you get a smooth green paste (hara masala).

Heat the vegetable oil in a skillet or pan over medium heat.

Add the cumin seeds and sauté for about 30 seconds until they start to sizzle and release their aroma.

Stir in the coriander powder and turmeric powder, and cook for another 20 seconds to toast the spices.
