Ingredients

  • 500 grams Prawns (peeled and deveined)
  • 200 grams Green beans (trimmed and cut into 2-inch pieces)
  • 1 medium Onion (finely chopped)
  • 2 medium Tomatoes (finely chopped)
  • 4 cloves Garlic (minced)
  • 1 tablespoon Ginger (grated)
  • 2 tablespoons Vegetable oil
  • 1 teaspoon Cumin seeds
  • 0.5 teaspoons Turmeric powder
  • 1 teaspoon Ground coriander
  • 1 teaspoon Garam masala
  • 0.5 teaspoons Red chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 200 milliliters Coconut milk
  • 3 tablespoons Fresh cilantro (chopped)
  • 1 tablespoon Lemon juice
  • 100 milliliters Water

Directions

Step 1

Heat the vegetable oil in a large pan over medium heat.

Step 2

Add the cumin seeds and let them sizzle for about 30 seconds until aromatic.

Step 3

Add the chopped onion and sauté until golden and soft, about 5-7 minutes.

Step 4

Stir in the garlic and ginger and cook for another minute until fragrant.

Add the chopped tomatoes and cook for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until they break down and form a thick paste.

Mix in the turmeric powder, coriander, garam masala, red chili powder, and salt. Stir well to combine.

Pour in the coconut milk and water, and bring the mixture to a simmer.

Add the green beans to the pan, cover, and cook for 5 minutes.
