Ingredients

  • 2 cups All-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons Baking powder
  • 0.5 teaspoons Baking soda
  • 1 teaspoons Ground cinnamon
  • 0.5 teaspoons Ground nutmeg
  • 0.5 teaspoons Ground ginger
  • 0.5 teaspoons Salt
  • 1 cup Pumpkin puree
  • 0.75 cups Brown sugar
  • 0.25 cups Granulated sugar
  • 2 large Eggs
  • 0.25 cups Whole milk
  • 0.25 cups Unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoons Vanilla extract
  • 1 cup Powdered sugar (for coating)

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a standard doughnut pan with nonstick spray or butter.

Step 2

In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, and salt. Set aside.

Step 3

In a large mixing bowl, combine the pumpkin puree, brown sugar, granulated sugar, eggs, milk, melted butter, and vanilla extract. Whisk until smooth and well combined.

Step 4

Gradually add the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients, stirring gently with a rubber spatula or wooden spoon. Mix until just combined. Do not overmix, as this can make the doughnuts dense.

Step 5

Spoon the batter into a piping bag or a resealable plastic bag with one corner snipped off. Pipe the batter into the prepared doughnut pan, filling each cavity about 3/4 full.

Step 6

Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the doughnuts spring back when lightly pressed and a toothpick inserted comes out clean.

Step 7

Allow the doughnuts to cool in the pan for 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.

Step 8

Once the doughnuts are cool, place the powdered sugar in a shallow bowl. Gently toss each doughnut in the powdered sugar until fully coated.

Step 9

Serve immediately or store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 days.
