Ingredients

  • 1 pound Ground beef
  • 1 medium Yellow onion, diced
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) Cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) Cream of chicken soup
  • 1 cup Sour cream
  • 2 cups Shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 bag (32 oz) Frozen tater tots
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon Paprika
  • 0.5 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon Black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons Chopped parsley (optional, for garnish)

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a 9x13-inch baking dish and set aside.

Step 2

In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned and fully cooked, about 5–7 minutes. Drain any excess grease.

Step 3

Add the diced onion to the skillet with the ground beef and cook for 3 minutes until softened.

Step 4

In a large mixing bowl, combine the cream of mushroom soup, cream of chicken soup, sour cream, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. Mix well.

Step 5

Add the cooked ground beef and onions to the bowl and stir to coat evenly with the soup mixture.

Step 6

Spread the beef and soup mixture evenly into the prepared baking dish.

Step 7

Layer the frozen tater tots in an even layer over the beef mixture, making sure the entire surface is covered.

Step 8

Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese evenly over the tater tots.

Step 9

Bake in the preheated oven for 40–45 minutes, or until the tater tots are golden brown and the casserole is bubbling.

Step 10

Remove from the oven and let rest for 5 minutes. If desired, garnish with chopped parsley before serving. Enjoy!
