Ingredients

  • 4 medium Potatoes
  • 2 tablespoons Vegetable oil
  • 2 teaspoons Chaat masala
  • 0.5 teaspoons Red chili powder
  • 0.25 teaspoons Turmeric powder
  • 0.5 teaspoons Salt
  • 1 tablespoons Lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons Fresh cilantro, chopped
  • 1 medium Green chili, finely chopped (optional)

Directions

Step 1

Peel the potatoes and chop them into bite-sized cubes.

Step 2

Place the cubed potatoes in a pot of water and bring to a boil. Cook for 6-8 minutes or until they are 75% cooked but still firm. Drain and set aside.

Step 3

In a large skillet, heat the vegetable oil over medium heat.

Step 4

Add the partially boiled potatoes to the skillet and cook, stirring occasionally, until they are golden and crispy on the outside (about 10-12 minutes).

Step 5

Lower the heat and sprinkle the potatoes with turmeric powder, red chili powder, salt, and chaat masala. Toss well to coat evenly.

Step 6

Continue cooking for another 2 minutes, allowing the spices to adhere to the potatoes.

Step 7

Turn off the heat and add the lemon juice. Toss the potatoes gently to combine.

Step 8

Garnish with freshly chopped cilantro and, if desired, finely chopped green chili for added heat.

Step 9

Serve hot as a snack or side dish. Enjoy!
