Ingredients

  • 1.5 pounds Ground turkey
  • 2 cups Mashed potatoes (prepared, preferably cooled)
  • 2 large Eggs
  • 1 cup Breadcrumbs
  • 1 medium Onion (finely chopped)
  • 2 cloves Garlic cloves (minced)
  • 0.5 cup Ketchup
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Dried parsley
  • 1 teaspoon Dried thyme
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon Black pepper
  • 0.25 cup Milk
  • 1 teaspoon Olive oil (for greasing)

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a standard loaf pan with olive oil or line it with parchment paper.

Step 2

In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground turkey, mashed potatoes, eggs, and breadcrumbs. Mix until all ingredients are evenly distributed.

Step 3

Add the finely chopped onion, minced garlic, dried parsley, dried thyme, Worcestershire sauce, 1/4 cup of the ketchup, salt, and black pepper to the mixture. Stir until well blended.

Step 4

If the mixture seems too dry, add milk one tablespoon at a time until the desired consistency is reached. The mixture should be moist but firm enough to hold its shape.

Step 5

Transfer the meatloaf mixture to the prepared loaf pan, pressing it down gently to ensure it’s evenly spread.

Step 6

Spread the remaining ketchup (1/4 cup) over the top of the meatloaf to create a glaze.

Step 7

Place the loaf pan in the preheated oven and bake for 55–60 minutes, or until the internal temperature of the meatloaf reaches 165°F (74°C).

Step 8

Once cooked, remove the meatloaf from the oven and let it rest in the pan for 10 minutes to allow juices to redistribute.

Step 9

Carefully transfer the meatloaf to a cutting board, slice, and serve. Pair it with a side of steamed vegetables or salad for a complete meal.
