Ingredients

  • 4 medium Russet potatoes
  • 4 tablespoons Unsalted butter
  • 0.5 cup Heavy cream
  • 2 minced Garlic cloves
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon Black pepper
  • 0.5 cup All-purpose flour
  • 0.5 cup Parmesan cheese
  • 0.5 cup Breadcrumbs
  • 1 teaspoon Fresh thyme
  • 2 tablespoons Olive oil

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

Step 2

Peel the potatoes and cut them into 1/2-inch thick slices.

Step 3

Place the potato slices in a large pot, cover with water, and bring to a boil. Cook for 10-12 minutes until the potatoes are fork-tender. Drain and set aside.

Step 4

In a small saucepan, melt 2 tablespoons of butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and cook for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.

Step 5

Remove the saucepan from heat and stir in the heavy cream, salt, and black pepper. Set the mixture aside.

Step 6

Grease a 9x9-inch baking dish with 1 tablespoon of butter. Arrange the cooked potato slices in the dish in overlapping layers.

Step 7

Pour the cream mixture evenly over the potatoes, allowing it to seep between the layers.

Step 8

In a bowl, combine the flour, Parmesan cheese, breadcrumbs, and fresh thyme.

Step 9

Melt the remaining 1 tablespoon of butter and drizzle it over the crumble mixture. Add the olive oil and stir until the mixture becomes crumbly.

Step 10

Spread the crumble topping evenly over the potatoes.

Step 11

Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and crispy.

Step 12

Remove from the oven and let cool for 5 minutes before serving. Enjoy your Potato Crumble!
