  • 0.25 cup Milk
  • 2 tablespoons Butter
  • 0.5 cup Mashed potatoes (unsalted, plain)
  • 3 cups Bread flour
  • 2 tablespoons Sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 2 teaspoons Active dry yeast

Directions

Step 1

Gather all your ingredients and bring them to room temperature (unless specified otherwise).

Step 2

Add the water, milk, and butter to the bread machine pan.

Step 3

Add the mashed potatoes to the liquid ingredients in the pan.

Step 4

Carefully add the bread flour, sugar, and salt into the pan in separate corners to keep them from mixing.

Make a small well in the center of the flour and add the active dry yeast.

Step 6

Place the bread pan into the bread machine and set the machine to the Basic or White Bread cycle. If your machine has a crust setting, select your preferred crust color (light, medium, or dark).

Step 7

Start the machine and let it knead, rise, and bake the bread. This will take approximately 3 hours depending on your machine.

Once the bread is baked, remove the pan from the machine and let the bread cool in the pan for 10 minutes.

Step 9

Carefully remove the bread from the pan and place it on a wire rack to cool completely before slicing.
