Ingredients

  • 500 grams Pork loin
  • 3 tablespoons Soy sauce
  • 3 pieces Garlic cloves
  • 1 teaspoon Ginger
  • 2 tablespoons Honey
  • 1 tablespoon Sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon Cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons Vegetable oil
  • 2 stalks Green onions
  • 1 piece Red bell pepper
  • 0.5 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.25 teaspoon Black pepper

Directions

Step 1

Slice the pork loin into thin, evenly-sized strips and place them in a large mixing bowl.

Step 2

In a small bowl, combine soy sauce, minced garlic, grated ginger, honey, sesame oil, and cornstarch. Whisk until smooth to create the marinade.

Step 3

Pour the marinade over the pork strips. Toss to coat evenly. Cover the bowl and let it marinate in the refrigerator for at least 20 minutes, or up to 2 hours for richer flavor.

Step 4

While the pork marinates, thinly slice the green onions and red bell pepper. Set them aside.

Step 5

Heat a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat and add the vegetable oil.

Step 6

Once the oil is hot, remove the pork strips from the marinade, letting any excess marinade drip off, and place them in the pan in a single layer. Sear the pork for 2-3 minutes per side until browned and cooked through. Cook in batches if necessary to avoid overcrowding the pan.

Step 7

Remove the cooked pork from the pan and set it aside on a plate.

Step 8

In the same skillet, add the sliced red bell pepper and cook for 2-3 minutes until slightly softened.

Step 9

Return the pork strips to the pan and toss them with the bell pepper. Cook for an additional 1-2 minutes until heated through.

Step 10

Season with salt and black pepper to taste. Garnish with sliced green onions before serving.

Step 11

Serve the savory pork strips immediately with steamed rice or noodles for a complete meal.
