Ingredients

  • 4 pieces boneless pork chops
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • 2 cups breadcrumbs
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 cut into wedges lemon

Directions

Step 1

Place each pork chop between two sheets of plastic wrap or parchment paper. Using a meat mallet or rolling pin, pound the pork chops until they are about 1/4 inch thick.

Step 2

Prepare three shallow dishes. In the first dish, place the flour. In the second dish, beat the eggs and milk together. In the third dish, combine the breadcrumbs, paprika, salt, and black pepper.

Step 3

Dip each pork chop into the flour, shaking off any excess. Then dip it into the egg mixture, allowing any excess to drip off. Finally, coat it with the breadcrumb mixture, pressing down to ensure the breadcrumbs adhere well. Repeat with all pork chops.

Step 4

Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. The oil should be hot enough that a breadcrumb sizzles when dropped into it.

Step 5

Carefully place the breaded pork chops into the hot oil, cooking in batches if necessary to avoid overcrowding the pan. Fry each schnitzel for about 3-4 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and cooked through.

Step 6

Transfer cooked schnitzels to a paper towel-lined plate to drain any excess oil.

Step 7

Serve the pork schnitzels hot, with lemon wedges on the side for squeezing over the top.
