Ingredients

  • 4 pieces pork chops
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 2 pieces garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 0.5 cup heavy cream
  • 3 tablespoons fresh dill, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon all-purpose flour (optional, for thickening)

Directions

Step 1

Season both sides of the pork chops with salt and black pepper.

Step 2

Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat and add olive oil.

Step 3

When the oil is hot, sear the pork chops for 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown. Remove the pork chops from the skillet and set them aside.

Step 4

In the same skillet, reduce heat to medium and melt the butter.

Step 5

Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.

Step 6

Pour in the chicken broth and stir, scraping up any browned bits from the bottom of the pan.

Step 7

Add heavy cream, stirring to combine, and let the sauce simmer for 2-3 minutes.

Step 8

Stir in the fresh dill and lemon juice. If you prefer a thicker sauce, mix the flour with 1 tablespoon of water to make a slurry, and gradually stir it into the sauce.

Step 9

Return the pork chops to the skillet, spooning the sauce over them. Cover the skillet and let them cook for 8-10 minutes, or until the pork chops reach an internal temperature of 145°F (63°C).

Step 10

Taste the sauce and adjust seasoning with additional salt, pepper, or lemon juice as needed.

Step 11

Remove from heat and let the pork chops rest for a couple of minutes before serving. Serve warm, spooning extra dill sauce over the pork chops.
