Ingredients

  • 4 pieces pork chops
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 1 medium yellow onion, finely chopped
  • 2 stalks celery, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 3 cups dried breadcrumbs
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon dried sage
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1.5 teaspoons salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

Step 2

Season the pork chops with 1 teaspoon of salt and 1/2 teaspoon of black pepper. Set aside.

Step 3

In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and celery, and sauté for 4-5 minutes until softened.

Step 4

Add the minced garlic to the skillet and cook for an additional 1 minute, stirring frequently.

Step 5

Pour the chicken broth into the skillet and bring to a simmer. Remove from heat.

Step 6

In a large mixing bowl, combine the breadcrumbs, parsley, sage, thyme, and the onion-celery mixture from the skillet. Mix until evenly combined.

Step 7

Transfer the stuffing mixture to a greased 9x13-inch baking dish. Spread it out evenly.

Step 8

Heat the olive oil in the same skillet over medium-high heat. Add the pork chops and sear for 2-3 minutes on each side, until golden brown. Transfer the seared pork chops onto the stuffing in the baking dish.

Step 9

Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the pork chops reach an internal temperature of 145°F (63°C).

Step 10

Remove the dish from the oven and let rest for 5 minutes before serving. Enjoy the pork chops with the flavorful dressing!
