Ingredients

  • 1 pound Pork tenderloin
  • 2 medium Pear (firm but ripe)
  • 3 tablespoons Soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons Oyster sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Sesame oil
  • 2 teaspoons Cornstarch
  • 3 cloves Garlic cloves (minced)
  • 1 teaspoon Ginger (grated)
  • 2 tablespoons Vegetable oil
  • 2 stalks Green onions (sliced)
  • 1 medium Red bell pepper (thinly sliced)
  • 1.5 teaspoons Honey
  • 1 teaspoon Rice vinegar
  • 0.5 teaspoon Ground black pepper
  • 4 cups Cooked rice or noodles (optional, for serving)

Directions

Step 1

Slice the pork tenderloin into thin strips about 1/4 inch thick for quick and even cooking.

Step 2

Core and slice the pears into thin wedges. Set aside.

Step 3

In a small bowl, mix together the soy sauce, oyster sauce, sesame oil, cornstarch, honey, and rice vinegar. Stir well to combine and set aside.

Step 4

Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.

Step 5

Add the pork strips and stir-fry for 4-5 minutes, until they are no longer pink and slightly browned. Remove the pork from the skillet and set aside.

Step 6

Add the remaining 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil to the skillet. Toss in the garlic and ginger, stir-frying for about 30 seconds until fragrant.

Step 7

Add the sliced red bell pepper to the skillet and stir-fry for 2-3 minutes until slightly tender.

Step 8

Return the pork to the skillet and toss to combine. Pour in the sauce mixture and stir well to coat all the ingredients.

Step 9

Gently add the sliced pear wedges and green onions. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until the pears are just tender and the sauce has thickened.

Step 10

Season with ground black pepper to taste. Serve immediately over cooked rice or noodles, if desired.
