  • 500 grams ground pork
  • 400 grams penne pasta

  • 120 milliliters chicken or vegetable broth
  • 0.5 teaspoons red chili flakes (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 0.5 teaspoons black pepper
  • 4 liters water

Directions

Step 1

Bring 4 liters of water to a boil in a large pot. Add 1 teaspoon of salt to the water and cook the penne pasta according to the package instructions until al dente. Reserve 1 cup of pasta water before draining. Drain the pasta and set aside.

Step 2

In a large skillet, heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant, being careful not to burn it.

Add the ground pork to the skillet and cook for 5-7 minutes until it's browned and fully cooked, breaking it apart with a spoon as it cooks.
