Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground pork
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 0.5 tsp black pepper
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 4 pieces hamburger buns
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 4 pieces lettuce leaves
  • 4 pieces sliced tomatoes
  • 12 pieces sliced pickles
  • 0.25 cup mayonnaise
  • 0.25 cup ketchup
  • 2 tbsp olive oil

Directions

Step 1

In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground pork with onion powder, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper. Mix thoroughly until all ingredients are well incorporated.

Step 2

Divide the pork mixture into 4 equal portions and shape them into burger patties, about ¾ inch thick.

Step 3

Heat a large skillet or grill pan over medium-high heat and add 2 tablespoons of olive oil.

Step 4

Cook the patties for 4-5 minutes on the first side until browned. Flip the patties and cook for another 3-4 minutes on the other side.

Step 5

During the last minute of cooking, add ¼ cup of shredded cheddar cheese on top of each patty. Cover the pan with a lid to melt the cheese completely.

Step 6

While the patties are cooking, split the hamburger buns in half and lightly spread butter on the cut sides. Toast the buns in a hot skillet or on the grill until golden brown.

Step 7

To assemble the burgers, spread a thin layer of mayonnaise and ketchup on the inside of each bun. Place a lettuce leaf on the bottom bun, followed by a slice of tomato, a cheesy pork patty, and 3 slices of pickles.

Step 8

Top with the other half of the bun and gently press down to secure the burger.

Step 9

Serve immediately with fries, chips, or a side salad for a complete meal.
