Ingredients

  • 200 g Ground pork
  • 200 g Ground beef
  • 80 g Broccoli florets
  • 2 cloves Garlic
  • 1 teaspoon Ginger
  • 2 tablespoons Soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Sesame oil
  • 2 stalks Green onion
  • 0.5 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon Black pepper
  • 30 pieces Wonton wrappers
  • 50 ml Water
  • 2 tablespoons Vegetable oil
  • 50 ml Dipping sauce (optional: soy sauce or chili oil)

Directions

Step 1

Finely chop the broccoli florets into small pieces. Mince the garlic and grate the ginger.

Step 2

In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground pork, ground beef, chopped broccoli, garlic, ginger, soy sauce, sesame oil, chopped green onions, salt, and black pepper. Mix thoroughly until the filling is evenly combined.

Step 3

Take a wonton wrapper and place it on a flat surface. Add about 1 teaspoon of filling into the center of the wrapper.

Step 4

Dip your finger in water and run it along the edges of the wrapper to moisten. Fold the wrapper in half diagonally, pressing the edges together to seal and creating a triangular shape.

Step 5

Optional: Bring the two bottom corners of the triangle together and seal them with a dab of water to form the traditional wonton shape.

Step 6

Repeat the process until all the filling is used and the wontons are assembled.

Step 7

In a large pan, heat the vegetable oil over medium heat. Add the wontons in a single layer and cook for 2-3 minutes until the bottoms are golden brown.

Step 8

Pour 50ml of water into the pan and immediately cover with a lid to steam the wontons. Cook for another 3-5 minutes until the water evaporates and the wontons are cooked through.

Step 9

Remove the wontons from the pan and transfer to a serving plate.

Step 10

Serve hot with your choice of dipping sauce, such as soy sauce or chili oil.
