Ingredients

  • 1 pound Ground beef
  • 1 medium, diced Onion
  • 2 cloves, minced Garlic
  • 8 ounces, sliced Mushrooms
  • 2 tablespoons Butter
  • 2 tablespoons All-purpose flour
  • 2 cups Beef broth
  • 1 cup Sour cream
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.5 teaspoons Black pepper
  • 0.5 teaspoons Paprika
  • 12 ounces Egg noodles
  • 2 tablespoons, chopped (optional for garnish) Parsley

Directions

Step 1

Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook the egg noodles according to the package instructions. Drain and set aside.

Step 2

In a large skillet over medium-high heat, brown the ground beef until cooked through, breaking it into crumbles with a spatula. Drain excess grease and transfer the beef to a plate.

Step 3

In the same skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the diced onion and minced garlic, cooking until the onion becomes translucent, about 3-4 minutes.

Step 4

Add the sliced mushrooms to the skillet and cook until softened and golden, about 5-6 minutes.

Step 5

Sprinkle the flour over the onion and mushroom mixture, stirring continuously to coat evenly. Cook the flour for 1-2 minutes to eliminate the raw taste.

Step 6

Gradually pour in the beef broth while stirring to combine. Let the mixture simmer and thicken, about 3-5 minutes.

Step 7

Lower the heat and stir in the sour cream, Worcestershire sauce, salt, pepper, and paprika. Mix until the sauce is creamy and smooth.

Step 8

Return the cooked ground beef to the skillet and stir to combine with the sauce. Let it simmer for an additional 5 minutes to meld the flavors.

Step 9

Toss the cooked egg noodles into the skillet, ensuring they are fully coated in the sauce.

Step 10

Serve hot, garnished with chopped parsley if desired.
