Ingredients

  • 2 oz Bourbon
  • 1.5 oz Pomegranate juice
  • 0.5 oz Simple syrup
  • 8 leaves Fresh mint leaves
  • 1 cup Crushed ice
  • 1 tbsp Pomegranate seeds (optional garnish)
  • 1 sprig Fresh mint sprig (optional garnish)

Directions

Step 1

Place the fresh mint leaves in the bottom of a julep cup or rocks glass.

Step 2

Add the simple syrup to the glass and gently muddle the mint leaves to release their aroma and flavor. Do not over-muddle or tear the leaves.

Fill the glass halfway with crushed ice.
