  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • 0.5 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

Step 2

Heat olive oil in a large oven-safe skillet over medium heat.

Add the Italian sausage to the skillet and cook, breaking it up into small pieces with a spatula, until browned (about 5-7 minutes). Remove and set aside.

In the same skillet, add the diced onion, bell pepper, and minced garlic. Sauté until the vegetables are softened, about 3-4 minutes.
